Mark D. Johnson
HAS, BC-HIS, A.C.A.
Growing up in Cincinnati Ohio, Mark was very close to his Grandpa Kenning. Grandpa Kenning was kept out of WWII due to a severe hearing loss in his left ear, and was never treated for this hearing problem. Due to his grandpas’ struggle, Mark, at an early age became aware of the impact that hearing loss has on a person and their loved ones. Hearing loss made verbal interaction difficult and this was quite frustrating to his grandpa and the entire family.
Immediately after high school Mark served in the U.S. Air Force as a supply sergeant. During his tour of service to our country he spent time in Denver Co., Okinawa Japan, the Philippines, and the Black Hills Mountain region of South Dakota. After his Air Force service, Mark moved to Florida and attended the University of South Florida in Tampa for 4 years. He has been a resident Floridian since 1979.
Mark began his hearing healthcare career in 1993 with a major hearing aid/care provider. He has had a passionate desire to help people and make a difference in their lives. He opened his own practice in the fall of 1994 in Orlando Fl. In addition to the Orlando area, Mark has had successful offices in Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Englewood, North Port, and Venice Fl. Mark is one of the most successful Hearing Aid Specialists in the country, and has been helping people to Hear and Understand better for over 23 years.
In early 2015, Mark and his wife Brenda (his business partner) moved back to Oviedo Fl. from SW Florida. Their return to Central Florida was prompted by a desire to be near their son Michael, and their precious grand-children, Andrew and Sophia. They have really enjoyed being a regular part of their lives, school activities, and sports involvements. Mark enjoys everything ocean related, and always looks forward to traveling and experiencing new people, places, and food. He has visited 35 foreign countries! Mark and Brenda Johnson are active members of Calvary Assembly Orlando church, and lead the Marriage Enrichment Foundations Class weekly.
