Clear communication is an essential element for living a rewarding, independent lifestyle. Hearing aids provide the capacity for clear communication to individuals with a hearing loss, allowing them to continue their active lifestyle without skipping a beat.

Preferred Hearing Centers makes it easy to take advantage of the numerous benefits provided by hearing aids.

Our trustworthy hearing specialists have top-level technical knowledge applied through accurate testing, professional guidance, and consistent follow-up care, making a big impact on how you view your hearing aid investment.

Modern hearing aids are streamlined, user friendly, and so discrete that few people will ever know that you are wearing one. Because of micro-digital technology, hearing aids perform much better and come in smaller casings. Advancements in material technology also make today’s hearing aids more comfortable, and allow for color selections that either make a fashion statement or make them invisible. It really comes down to what you choose.

Bluetooth Connectivity, Cell Phones, and Remote Control Apps make it possible to use your smartphone to fine-tune your hearing aids or make it easier to enjoy phone conversations, eliminating any remaining stigma you might have had about hearing aids. When you choose us for your hearing care, you can look forward to additional features such as:

  • iPhone and Android Cell Phone compatibility
  • Open ear hearing aid technology for optimal comfort
  • Wireless communication
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Designer styles in a variety of colors
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • 3-year repair, loss, and damage warranty

“Aimee was beaming and glowing with excitement over how well she was hearing.”

Aimee purchased hearing aids from Preferred Hearing Centers 4 years ago. She lost one of her aids 2 years ago and never came back for a replacement. Unfortunately, the ear that she was not wearing a hearing aid in for the last 2 years has gotten worse when we retested her recently.

She was fitted with two new Resound Quattro 9 Premium RIC Rechargeable hearing aids. She was so happy to hear better. I told her of all the improvements in technology in her new premium hearing aids, but she didn’t realize how great it was until she had time to wear them.

Aimee came in for her follow-up visit and she was beaming and glowing with excitement over how well she was hearing, especially in noisy situations.

Aimee said “I realised I had hearing loss about ten years ago when it was difficult to listen to the TV. It was hard to communicate with people and it made me feel uncomfortable. Now I can hear much better – the aids filter the different sounds; the specialists are professional and friendly.”

The Different Styles of Hearing Aids

Receiver-In-The-Ear (RIC)

Receiver-In-The-Ear (RIC)

RIC style hearing aids are the most versatile hearing instrument on the market and a firm favorite among many hearing specialists. The receiver or speaker inserts into the ear canal for better sound quality and near invisibility. RIC units provide an easy in-office repair solution or an amplification upgrade if necessary as well as a full spectrum of smartphone streaming.

Invisible-In-Canal (IIC) – Virtually Invisible

Invisible-In-Canal (IIC) – Virtually Invisible

If you have mild to moderate hearing loss, then IIC hearing aids are a viable style choice. They come custom-fitted to the unique shape of your ear canal, and in a choice of colors. The most unique feature of IICs are their deep insertion into the ear canal.

Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC)

The CIC hearing aid can be a great option for mild to severe hearing loss with cosmetic concerns. They are mostly invisible and a bit more powerful than the smaller IIC option.

In-The-Ear (ITE)

Mildly severe to severe hearing loss patients might find ITE hearing aids to their liking. They feature a sleek design, which fits perfectly to the outer entrance to the ear canal. Features include: comfortable, maximum hearing coverage, available in a variety of colors, custom made to match your skin tone.

In-The-Canal (ITC)

Another option for patients with mild to severe hearing loss is the ITC hearing aid. Because of its slightly larger size, it uses size 312 batteries, allowing wireless capabilities for smartphone streaming.

Behind-The-Ear (BTE)

Behind-The-Ear (BTE)

Severe to profound hearing loss patients usually require the additional performance capabilities provided by behind-the-ear hearing aids. Though not invisible, this instrument is more streamlined and lighter weight than its predecessors. Its technology is housed in the casing of these hearing aid, placed behind the ear while the clear plastic acoustical tube sends the amplified sounds into a customized earmold fitted inside the ear canal. Features of these units include a variety of color choices, easy to use buttons, and full-spectrum smartphone streaming.
