Great Things to Hear This Holiday Season in Orlando

There are many great things to hear this holiday season in Orlando, and we’ve picked some favorites for you.

The Nutcracker Ballet, Dance Showcases

Dec. 7 – Dec. 21
Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando
On Fridays, sugar plum fairies, wooden soldiers and dancing mice round out special performances of the Nutcracker Ballet by the Elizabeth Parsons School of Dance. On Saturdays the School of Dance Arts will perform tap and ballet favorites. Enjoy the hotel’s spectacular decorations.

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
The Orlando Ballet accompanied by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra presents this enchanting production to highlight the holiday season. It’s Christmas Eve and little Clara is wide awake and amazed that the Nutcracker she received earlier in the day has come to life. They take a fantastic journey to the Land of Sweets, battle the Mouse King and dance with the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve?

Dec. 15
Amway Center
Prepare to be dazzled! The Trans-Siberian’s exciting new production celebrates 20 years of producing what is arguably one of the great Christmas classics. The performance includes giant video screens, a pyrotechnic display and a stunning laser show. The group’s original touring members have beefed up the show with orchestra string sections and dozens of extra musicians and choirs.

Celtic Thunder

Dec. 16
Hard Rock Live
Catch the group as part of their very special 2018 X Tour. Performing a mixture of traditional Celtic folk sons as well as contemporary numbers, Celtic Thunder will win your hearts.

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas

Dec. 18 – 23
Walt Disney Theater
Critics have said this production is as warming as apple pie and as festive as a truck full of elves. A stage adaptation of an uplifting story White Christmas has been enjoyed through the ages. It tells the story of two friends who are performing at a winter pageant in Vermont and they fall in love with two sisters. This Broadway production will be sure to leave you feeling merry and bright. There’s plenty of laughter, dancing and holiday cheer.

Cirque Musica

Dec. 18
Amway Center
Classic holiday music from carols to pop songs is combined with breathtaking acrobatic performances, dancers, aerialists and jugglers. They sing as they perform in a production that will keep you singing along and sitting on the edge of your seat. Cirque Musica’s Holiday presentation of Wonderland is an entertaining family concert experience.

David Archuleta “Winter In the Air”

Dec. 11
The Plaza LiveWinter in the Air highlights Archuleta’s new Christmas album, Christmas Every Day. He says the goal of the performance is to “make people happy and feel the joy of the holidays.”

Violectric Holiday Show

Dec. 14
Lake Eola Park
Rock into the holiday season with the 6th annual Violectric holiday show. The string sensation will feature traditional holiday songs mashed with classic rock tunes  and modern hits.

Dinos in Lights Festival Show

Dec. 16
Orlando Science Center
Join Stan the T-Rex and his fossil friends in DinoDigs where they show off their twinkle light talent in this festive display of music and light. Each family friendly show

Christmas at Sea World

Dec. 17 – Dec. 31
Sea World Orlando
Live shows around the park featuring holiday favorites, festive shopping and great food. Meet holiday friends including Santa and get a selfie!

Bricktacular Christmas at Legoland
